Greetings and merriment to thee, o Lords and Ladies of the realm!

'Twas the season to be jolly, but now's the season to make folly!
While others scavenge through their loot, you can give their heroes the boot
and drive them back from whence they came (then smash them again, if you've got the fame!).
Yes, I know, it lacks in cheer (for the holidays come but once per year)
but all is fair in love and war, and population equals score,
so grow your territories far and wide and see if you can turn the tide
to favor king or queen and crown, and make the countryside your town!

The lottery's stocked by (and with) St. Nick
but you'd better act fast, for you see, that's the trick!
By tomorrow he'll be gone, back to his home
and you'll be left with heroes from Greece, or Camelot, or Rome.
So play, my friends, and enjoy the season--
for when you wish to fight, you need not a reason!

I beg of thee, name thy kingdoms!

Long time no see! Please pardon my lengthy absence. 'Tis Tom again, back for more Landing, Legending and Lording. And back I shall come each and every Monday, to keep you all up-to-date on new developments and reaffirm the state of this glorious, warring union!

Today, I'd like to talk about names. As I look around the battlefield, I see so many kingdoms dotting the land-- a glorious vision of an international collective with an ever-growing population! And some of these kingdoms have stupendous names that call to mind images of power and might, striking fear in the hearts of all who may oppose them...while others simply have signs in front of them that say, "Castle," and list coordinates. Which, I'm afraid, strikes fear in no one's heart at all!

So as a mediator of the people (and a fan of all things vicious!), I implore you, give your castle a name! Give your territories names! Don't force your toiling peasants to tell their allied neighbors, "I work on behalf of the Lord at 2324, -1999" (numbers chosen at random, so if you happen to be stationed in such a spot, I send my sincerest apologies for calling you out!). Would it not benefit your peasants to take pride in their land? To tell their friends and compatriots, "I am a humble servant of Lord Vicious, ruler of the Ramparts of Fury"?

Of course it would! Surely, any who served such a viciously-named Lord of such a panic-inducingly-named kingdom would work twice-- nay, three times-- nay, SEVEN HUNDRED TIMES as hard as a peasant under a boringly-named Lord of a numerically-identified castle.

How do you name your kingdom and territories, you ask? Simple! See the gray "Profile" button on the top-right corner of the game display? Click it, then click "Edit" from the tabs that display at the top...and there you have it! Fields to edit names as you see fit!

So...get to it! Make your mighty Lands even mightier, that you may become true Legends!
